Is there money to be made in Real Estate Investing in this market?

Posted on March 20th, 2010 by admin in real estates | 5 Comments »

I have a few rental properties that I purchased a few years ago, but I’d like to take a step up in investing. I have my Real Estates License, and have been a Loan Officer for close to five years now. With the market as bad as it is, I’d like to use this time to pursue other ventures. My goal is to become a full time Real Estate Investor. Does anyone have any suggestions on the best place to start? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Your best bet are duplexes for rent or buying a house that needs a lot of cosmetic repairs. You just need to make sure you have enough money to pay the mortgage until it sells. The "real investors" purchase now and hold on until the market is high. Buy low, sell high pertains to real estate investor too. A real investor does not buy high and sell a little higher.

12. Real Estate Finance and its Vulnerability to Crisis

Financial Markets (ECON 252)

Real Estate is the biggest asset class and of great importance for both individuals and institutional investors. An array of economic and psychological factors impact real estate investment decisions and the public has changing ideas of real estate as a profitable investment. People’s demand to buy a home by taking on long-term debt, called a mortgage, is often tied with the overall health of the economy and financial markets. In recessions, home buying tends to fall and the opposite holds in a strong economy. Commercial real estate, held indirectly by the public through partnerships and real estate investment trusts (REITs), is vulnerable to similar speculative activity. The most recent real estate boom illustrates the speculative nature of real estate, and its relation to financial and economic crises.

How is it like working in Real Estates?

Posted on March 18th, 2010 by admin in real estates | 3 Comments »

It’s actually very interesting. You get to meet all sorts of interesting people and see a lot of different properties.

I can be both satisfying and frustrating. Sometimes, you can have long periods of not doing anything and other times your working with several clients at once.

It is, however, challenging.
